The Founder's Story
Greetings! My name is Joseph Chung, a Korean/Canadian inventor and founder of the Lohanu Phone Bal-Enhancer.
This product didn’t begin as a business idea. It began as a personal search for health, balance, and peace. And I was the guinea pig for this project!
Years ago, I struggled with insomnia, chronic lower-back tension from long hours at a desk, and stress & anxiety that seemed to follow me everywhere.
I also began noticing how modern technology affected me. As I spent more time on my phone and became constantly connected online, I noticed more eye fatigue, stress, and disrupted sleep. I tried different products and approaches, but nothing felt complete.
I began exploring natural wellness — studying sleep habits, supplements, relaxation techniques, and holistic health practices. I tried dozens of products that promised better sleep, more calmness, or more energy. Some helped a little. Many didn’t.
So I began experimenting on my own. My background is in music — I’m a pianist and composer, trained in classical and jazz. Music taught me patience, precision, and an obsession with refinement, and I brought that same mindset into this journey.
What followed was over five years of experimentation, research, trial and error, and countless setbacks. I tested hundreds of variations, slowly learning how different elements worked individually and together.
Eventually, I began placing one of my refined prototypes on my phone. Over the following days, I noticed better sleep, reduced tension, and a more grounded state of mind. The results were consistent enough that I began testing it more seriously.
I put one on my daughter’s phone, and she noticed that her eyes didn’t feel as tired and that she slept well even after screen time at night.
Then more people tried it. Many reported similar experiences — feeling more comfortable and relaxed during phone use, and also noticing better sleep quality.
That’s when I realized this wasn’t meant to stay with me alone.
